INTO THE VAULT, 2019
Can a museum be an informal space? What does it mean and how does it feel to be in this space of industrial sounds?
Considering museums to be a formal confine, this exhibition will decontextualize what it means to be a museum. Into The Vault reimagines the museum as an informal space, an archive of intangible memories – a laboratory of ideas – and takes us through the sacred and secret vaults within ourselves.
Inside The Vault, we can deconstruct our personal intellectual and philosophical spaces through the most informal of paths. Through the construct of precious souvenirs, the fragmented verses, a raw Jewel, and personal drawings.
By placing this experience in a museum, we break the formal conception of the museum, by no longer engaging it in an act of preserving historical objects of ‘cultural significance’, but rather a documentation of the temporal nature of an art-piece.
